Israel Report - Monday 07 July 2025
The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. [Isaiah 24; vv 5-6 - KJV]
Netanyahu Heads to Washington- looking for deal to reshape the Middle East…
Benjamin Netanyahu has flown to the U.S. for a visit with Donald Trump following the Operation Rising Lion campaign against Iran’s nuclear program.
While the two leaders are expected to boast about their success in apparently destroying Iran’s nuclear sites, many expect to hear some news regarding a hostage-ceasefire deal in Gaza. Trump has been quite vocal in his calls to end the Gaza War and free the hostages.
Last week, Trump announced that Israel had agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza before Netanyahu had spoken about such a deal.
Earlier last week, Trump also posted a message saying, “Make the deal in Gaza. Get the hostages back!”
Trump is reportedly pressuring both Hamas, through mediators from Qatar and Egypt, and Israel to agree to a deal that would include a 60-day ceasefire, the release of 10 living and 18 deceased hostages.
Reports in U.S. media say that Trump wants to see progress on the deal by Monday evening, when he will meet with Netanyahu at the White House.
On Friday night, Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he was "very optimistic" about the prospects for a deal in the coming week.
However, according to Dan Diker, [above] president of the Jerusalem Centre for Security and Foreign Affairs, Netanyahu is looking for more than just a hostage-ceasefire deal, he’s looking for a broader regional “deal of the century.”
Diker said that he believes Netanyahu is going to try to keep momentum going for expanding the Abraham Accords.
IAF Strikes 100 Terror Sites In Gaza In The Past 24 Hours…….
IDF Uncovers Multiple Explosives planted to target troops……
The Israeli Air Force attacked approximately 100 terror targets across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, including rocket launchers and weapons storage facilities, the military said Friday afternoon.
The strikes were carried out in support of ground troops battling Arab Palestinian terrorists.
IDF troops operated in the Gaza City area, where they demolished weapons storage facilities and killed terrorists above and below ground. In the past day, several explosive devices planted to target Israeli troops were discovered and destroyed.
Troops were also active in northern Gaza, as well as in the southern cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis, working to locate and dismantle weapons caches and underground terrorist infrastructure.
According to the military, more than 100 terrorists have been killed by IDF units under the Southern Command over the past week.
Among those killed were Hakham Issa, head of the Combat Support Staff in Hamas’s “military” wing; Mohammed al-Sheikh, a commander in the Khan Yunis Brigade’s Operations Department; Issa Abbas, a company commander in the Zeitoun Battalion; and Mohammed Jarasha, a company commander in the Sabra Battalion.
Israel Attacks Yemen…
In the last few hours, the IDF has vigorously attacked terrorist targets of the Houthi regime in the ports of Hodeidah, A-Salif, and Ras Issa, and sunk the ship "Galaxy Leader," which was hijacked by the Houthis about two years ago and was currently being used for terrorist activities in the Red Sea.
The Houthi forces installed a radar system on the ship, and were using it to track vessels in international maritime waters, in order to enhance the regime’s activities.
In addition, the Ras Qantib power plant was attacked, which the was used as a significant power supply infrastructure for military activity, and is another example of the Houthi regime’s use of civilian infrastructure.
The attack was carried out in light of recent repeated attacks by the Houthis against the State of Israel, its citizens and civilian infrastructure in the country, including the launch of unmanned aerial vehicles and surface-to-surface missiles towards the territory of the State of Israel.
Syria Willing to Return to 1974 Border Deal with Israel…….
Syria’s new governing authority on Friday claimed a willingness to work with the United States to re implement the 1974 disengagement agreement with Israel, which created a U.N.-monitored buffer zone separating the two countries.
After a phone call with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani expressed Damascus’s “aspiration to cooperate with the United States to return to the 1974 disengagement agreement.”
Rubio released a statement saying the two men discussed “matters of shared concern, including countering terrorism, Iran, Israel-Syria relations and destroying any remnants of the Assad regime’s chemical weapons program.”
Hebron’s Sheikhs just killed Decades of Arab Palestinian Politics….
Hebron’s most powerful sheikhs just took an axe to decades of Arab Palestinian politics—and the world’s tired “two-state solution” fantasy.
What’s was wrong with Oslo? According to the sheikhs, the accords “brought upon us the corrupt Palestinian Authority, instead of recognizing the traditional, authentic local leadership.”
And so the sheikhs are moving forward, essentially aiming to dismantle the PA and set up local rule in their communities.
A group of Arab Palestinian sheikhs from the Hebron area sent a letter to Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat, [below] expressing their desire to live in coexistence and cooperation with Israel, to disengage from the Palestinian Authority, to establish an “emirate,” and to join the Abraham Accords, according to an article published this morning (Sunday) in the Wall Street Journal.
From the group, only Sheikh Wadee’ al-Jaabari, [above] also known as Abu Sand, agreed to be interviewed under his name. “We want cooperation with Israel,” he said. “We want coexistence with Israel.”
The letter, which he signed along with four other influential sheikhs, was addressed to Barkat, who, according to the report, has met with the group at his home several times since February.
The sheikhs asked Barkat to present their letter – which details their plan to establish the “Hebron Emirate” and to break out from the Palestinian Authority – to Prime Minister Netanyahu.
“The Emirate of Hebron shall recognize the State of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people,” the sheikhs wrote in their letter, “and the State of Israel shall recognize the Emirate of Hebron as the Representative of the Arab residents in the Hebron District.”
In the signed letter to Israel’s government, they pledged:
Full recognition of Israel as the JEWISH state. Breaking away from the corrupt Palestinian Authority Joining the Abraham Accords for peace, jobs, and prosperity
This isn’t some fringe movement. These clans represent over HALF A MILLION Arab Palestinians—the majority of Hebron’s population.
They’ve been meeting Israel’s economy minister since February. Now it’s public. And it’s a DIRECT challenge to the PA and Hamas.
The sheikhs are even ready to OUST the PA from Hebron in DAYS, declaring “The people are with us. Nobody respects the PA. Nobody wants them.”
For decades, the world preached [and some less enlightened political leaders continue to do so today]: “There’s only one path to peace—a Palestinian state.”
That was always a farce and a lie. Now the PA and Hamas know it.
Trump set to Ditch Two State Solution Farce?
President Trump seems set to ditch the creation of an Arab Palestinian state between Israel and Jordan (two-state solution) when he meets Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House today.
U.S. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce has declined to confirm that the Trump administration supports a “two-state solution” – adding:
“President Trump is realistic about the current state of affairs. Clearly, Gaza is an uninhabitable place. It needs to be rebuilt with the help of Arab partners.”
Last IAEA Inspectors Leave Iran….
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has pulled the last remaining inspectors it had in Iran out of the country, it announced on Friday. The move comes amid escalating tensions between the United Nations nuclear watchdog and the regime in Tehran.
“An IAEA team of inspectors today safely departed from Iran to return to the Agency headquarters in Vienna, after staying in Tehran throughout the recent military conflict,” the organization said on X.
A follow-up post on the same social media platform added that IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reiterated the crucial importance of discussing ways for the watchdog to resume its “indispensable monitoring and verification activities in Iran as soon as possible.”
The IAEA has been unable to inspect any of the nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic since Israel launched its first salvo of strikes on the country three weeks ago.
In the intervening weeks, Iran has issued several statements rebuking the IAEA and accusing Grossi of acting in a biased manner.
