Putin warns 'Everyone will be turned to radioactive ash' over Ukraine moves.......
24 December 2021
Vladimir Putin's media mouthpiece Dmitry Kiselyov warned US-led aggression could lead to a nuclear war and warned NATO 'everyone will be turned into radioactive ash'
Vladimir Putin primed Russia for war against Ukraine today, with his media mouthpiece warning NATO to back off .
The Russian President told military chiefs and defence ministers Moscow will take “military measures” in response to tension with the West – as his troops amass close to Ukraine.
Putin was referring to a Western bid to bolster Ukraine with weapons and military training.
He said: “In the event that the clearly aggressive line of our Western colleagues continues, we will take adequate retaliatory military-technical measures, and react toughly to unfriendly steps.
“And, I want to emphasize, we have every right to do so, we have every right to take actions designed to ensure the security and sovereignty of Russia.”
A Ukrainian paratroop regiment has dug into positions 50 metres from opposing Russian troops near the town of Avdiyivka in Ukraine.
Around 175,000 Russian combat forces are expected to be near Ukraine’s borders by January and pro-Russian separatists are already attacking Ukraine troops daily.
On the front line in Donbas, Ukraine, Russian troops have been building up in support of pro-Russian separatists in the Donetsk and Luhansk region.
Putin ‘may exploit holidays & take military action while West is "distracted" after threatening war over Ukraine
Isabel Sawkins, an expert at the Henry Jackson Society, believes Russia could exploit Christmas and increase its military action amid the crisis in Ukraine
Last week, EU leaders along with the US, stated that sanctions would be imposed if Russian troops invaded Ukraine.
Iran’s Guards drill mock-Israeli invasion, threaten to enrich uranium to weapons grade........
December 24, 2021
Israel’s military is closely watching the war games staged this week by the different arms of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards – aerospace, ground units, navy and missiles, which are focusing for the first time ever on defensive scenarios for thwarting a possible Israeli attack, including the landing of ground troops.
Reliable military sources point to steps that attest to the unacknowledged scenario of warding off an Israeli invading force as well as crippling air attacks:
Underground bunkers were installed in Iran’s main cities from which IRGC forces propose to come out and tackle an invading force while it is still 4km away.
The build-up of defence installations on Iran’s offshore islands of Abu Musa, 70km from central-south Iran, Kashan, close to Isfahan, Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb, near the Straits of Hormuz, and Larak Island, which overlooks Iran’s main oil export terminals.
The planners of the Guards war games postulate Israeli troops making their first landings on these islands to serve as launch pads for the invasion of the Iranian mainland.
The units taking part in the exercise have been split into two forces (on the same lines as Egyptian war games), the “Orange” army representing the IDF against the “Blue” army of Iran.
The Orange force is counted on being technologically superior to the Blue side and its air force – indicating the expectation of massive Israeli air strikes deep inside Iran and heavy carpet bombing that will cause mass casualties.
The IRGC exercise shows reliance on their anti-air Khordad 3 rockets (see photo above), which are mobile and have a range of 500km. Its commanders estimate that this weapon is up to tackling Israel’s F-35 stealth warplanes.
Different types of cruise missiles are being launched as part of the exercise.
The IRGC publication Kayhan, a regular mouthpiece for supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, this week published a new threat.
In the event of an attack, Iran will immediately switch to enriching uranium up to 90% i.e., weapons grade.
The US Navy seizes fishing ship from Iran loaded with arms for Houthis...
December 24, 2021
US sailors who boarded a stateless fishing vessel in the Arabian Sea off Oman found 1,400 Kalashnikov-style rifles and 22600 rounds of ammo bound of the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The operation was launched on Monday by the US Navy’s Bahrain-based 5th Fleet which blamed Iran for the consignment, in violation of UNSC resolutions and US sanctions.
The US patrol ships transferred the confiscated weapons to the guided missile destroyer USS O’Kane before sinking the fishing vessel and approving the repatriation of the five-man Yemeni crew.
Russia, Turkey up pressure on Kurds to engage with Damascus.....
24 December 2021
Russia, Turkey and Iran the major players in Ezekiel's prophecy of an invasion of Israel in the "latter Days" [chapters 38 &9] said they were concerned with increased activity by separatist groups east of the Euphrates River.
Russia and Turkey pressed Syria’s Kurds on Wednesday to engage with the Damascus government and abandon separatist ambitions after discussing the future of Syria together with Iran.
Following President Bashar al-Assad's de facto victory in the civil war, Kurdish groups there have been under pressure to give up arms and control over their territory in Syria’s northeast.
In a joint statement issued after talks in Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey and Iran said they supported Syria’s territorial integrity.
Some Kurdish leaders have sought a federal solution to the issue of their status, but Damascus has so far shown no willingness to discuss the idea.
Turkey, which regards groups such as the YPG as an extension of the Kurdish separatist underground operating on its own soil, has over the last few months threatened to carry out an incursion to push them out of the area.
Russia has prevented that by military manoeuvres in the area held by the Kurds, Syrian government sources said. In addition,
Moscow had stepped up air strikes against Turkey-backed rebels in the northwest Idlib region where Ankara has also sent troops to ward off a new Russian-backed government offensive.
