Israel Report - Sunday 15 June 2025
In that day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of hosts their God.
In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. [Zechariah 12; vv 4-6]
Israel Launches New Phase of Operation Rising Lion…
Israel has launched a new phase of operation Rising Lion.
The campaign is designed to destroy Iran’s nuclear capability and long-range weapons capacity, but now it has expanded its scope to striking at Iran’s energy infrastructure.
The strikes come after a warning from Israeli officials that they would do so if Iran attacked Israeli urban areas with its ballistic missiles.
Following the missile attacks on Israel, Netanyahu also warned that Israeli warplanes are now able to directly access Tehran and that regime targets on the IAF’s list.
A senior IDF official says that the Israeli Air Force has attacked the South Pars gas field in Iran’s southern Bushehr region. That confirms claims by the official Iranian Fars news outlet that Phase 14 of that facility was hit with an Israeli drone.
“As a result of this attack, parts of this phase have caught fire, and fire engines are currently extinguishing the fire,” Fars reported. “The fire caused by the Zionist regime’s attack on the South Pars Phase 14 refinery and Fajr Jam [see below] was contained with a quick response. Video posted on social media showed that the plant was engulfed in flames.
In addition, Israel also struck the Kangan LNG Port on the coast of the Persian Gulf, all in the Bushehr Province of Southern Iran.
There is no indication at this point that Israel targeted the Bushehr nuclear reactor, which supplies Iran’s power grid. With the proper equipment, that plant could also yield plutonium for a weapon.
Israel has attacked Iran’s uranium enrichment site in the Natanz area, but that doesn’t present nearly the level of danger that going after a live reactor would, The Jerusalem Post postulated.
“A strike on a live nuclear reactor could unleash radioactive leakage capable of endangering civilian populations hundreds of kilometres away, depending on the severity of the breach,” the publication explained.
Despite some rumours that the airstrikes may have led to a radiation leak, the head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog said Friday that radiation levels outside of the Natanz uranium enrichment site remained unchanged after the airstrikes.
The attack on Iran’s energy infrastructure came after Israeli officials warned they would do so if Iran continued to attack the Jewish state’s urban areas. So far, Iran has launched more than 200 missiles and 200 drones at Israel.
The Israeli Air Force said it struck air defence targets in and around Tehran overnight to improve its freedom to operate in the skies over Iran.
“After an active day in which we struck hundreds of targets, including dozens of surface-to-air targets, we conducted a series of precise strikes of operational and national significance which improved our aerial superiority and our freedom of activity in Iran,” Commanding officer of the Israeli Air Force, MG Tomer Bar, [above] said at a situational assessment after the strikes.
“For the first time since the beginning of the war, over 1,500 km from Israeli territory, the IAF struck defence arrays in the area of Tehran.”
The strikes have already already destroyed “dozens of radars and surface-to-air missile launchers,” according to the IAF.
Israeli officials believe Iran has at least 2,000 long-range ballistic missiles it could use in future attacks.
After the launch of operation Rising Lion, Iran’s supreme leader wanted to strike back with an assault of 1,000 missiles. However, Iranian complacency before the attack and indecision after, reportedly, made that impossible to pull off.
Officials said that the night of Israel’s attack, senior military commanders did not shelter in safe houses and instead stayed in their own homes, a fateful decision.
USA Involvement so far;
“I can confirm that the U.S. is assisting in shooting down missiles targeting Israel,” a U.S. official has stated.
“U.S. Navy Aegis ships and [Terminal High Altitude Area Defense] THAAD units as well as some U.S. jets, were part of the anti-missile combat to try and intercept as many Iranian missiles and UAVs as possible,” the senior IDF official said.
A U.S. official on Thursday stated that the U.S. Navy’s Arleigh Burke class destroyer USS Thomas Hudner [above] was heading east across the Mediterranean in the direction of Israel.
Additional reports had said that another destroyer of this type was also being re-positioned for a potential forward deployment to the region if necessary. Both are designed to provide air and missile defence
Amid the ongoing Israeli attacks, senior Iranian leaders appear to be fleeing the country, Netanyahu has claimed.
“We have indications that senior leaders in Iran are packing their bags, they know what’s coming… We knew that had we not acted, Iran would’ve given nukes to its terror proxies,” he said.
While we cannot confirm that, flight trackers reported a bizarre instance of an Iranian Boeing 747 departing from Tehran today. This would appear to be a very risky move considering a major airpower is in the middle of an air campaign focused on sanitizing the airspace and air defences.
Exactly where this flight went is not clear. This 747 in particular is well known for running weapons and doing other risky government work.
UPDATE;
Iran has just launched another wave of ballistic missile strikes on Israel, targeting the northern end of the country, particularly Haifa. The IDF said it was working to intercept them, but a substantial number of the missiles made it to the ground.
The IDF has just completed a large-scale wave of attacks in Tehran on the infrastructure of the Iranian nuclear weapons project and fuel storage facilities.
Air Force fighter jets, under intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Branch, completed a broad wave of attacks in Tehran against several targets of the Iranian nuclear weapons project, including the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defence, the headquarters of the nuclear project's Spand headquarters, and other targets.
‘Significant Damage’ after IDF Headquarters hit by Iranian Missile……
Israel’s military headquarters were struck after Iran’s Islamic Republic unleashed a barrage of missiles on central Tel Aviv late Friday night, causing “significant damage” to the Jewish state’s equivalent of the Pentagon.
Alarming footage shared on social media showed a strike slamming into an area that houses several military sites, including the Israel Defence Forces’ main command centre.
The dramatic clips captured interceptor missiles firing into the sky moments before a blinding flash, a thunderous boom, and the explosion of an incoming warhead.
The IDF has not confirmed whether its headquarters were hit, but released raw footage showing Iran firing off waves of ballistic missiles at the Jewish state for hours on Friday.
Israel has now attacked the fuel terminal in the heart of Tehran.
Developing….
UK’s PM Starmer has decided to scramble British jets to the Middle East…..
RAF Typhoon fighter jets were last night rushed to the Middle East amid the spiralling Israel-Iran conflict.
Starmer acted after Iran warned the UK would be targeted if it helped stop retaliatory strikes.
Iranian state media said US, British and French facilities would be in the line of fire if they help defend Israel over Iran’s drone and missile retaliation.
The Prime Minister, on his way to the G7 summit in Canada, said: “I will always make the right decisions for the UK and our allies”.
“We are moving assets to the region, including jets, and that is for contingency support in the region”.
The now regional war is expanding hourly.
Massive Stealth Flying Wing Emerges at Secretive Chinese Base…
We have had our first glimpse of a very large, low-observable, flying-wing, long-endurance unmanned aircraft.
This appears to be China's largest high-altitude, long-endurance drone, and one that has clear low observable qualities
The image of the previously unseen aircraft sitting outside of an already intriguing hangar complex at an airfield notorious for advanced air combat programs comes to us from the Planet Labs archive. The image was taken on May 14th, 2025, and just appeared in the database.
The photo shows China’s secretive test base near Malan in Xinjiang province, which is known to be on the leading edge of the country’s unmanned aircraft development efforts.
Specifically, the craft was parked outside of a sprawling new facility that was built very recently to the east of the base, connected to it by a very long taxiway leading to a security gate.
The newly emerged aircraft itself appears impressive. It is a large flying wing that has a span of roughly 52 metres, or about 170 feet. The B-2 Spirit is 172 feet wide, for comparison, and the B-21 is a bit smaller.
The best explanation is that this is a very large, high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) stealthy drone — similar to the supposed U.S. RQ-180 — but this would be the biggest we have ever seen.
War, war, and more war.
